Capt. Everett "Porky" Francis

Captain Everett Porky

A born fisherman, Capt. Everett "Porky" Francis, is a coast guard licensed skipper and a native of Martha's Vineyard, who does charter fishing out of Edgartown Harbor.

He has many years of experience fishing the waters around Martha's Vineyard and the Islands. He is the fisherman's fisherman. Just about every day of the season, you can bet Porky is out there, somewhere in a boat with a rod, trying to land the big ones.

Captain Porky is a legend and has an Island named after him, Porky's Island. (Porky's Island is a spot just off of Wasque Chappaquiddick and is more a fishing spot than an Island. Most years nothing appears above water, but at low tide, when the sea has been carrying sand in the right direction long enough, an Island appears. Porky's Island is really a shoal.)
